SIDS Action Platform
The SIDS Action Platform has been developed to support the follow up to the Third International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS Conference), including through a partnerships platform, a partnerships framework, and a UN Implementation Matrix. [Click to view]
UN System & IGOs
The entire UN System is being mobilized in preparing for the Third International Conference on Small Island Developing States.

Coordination mechanisms within the UN include the Executive Committee on Economic and Social (ECESA Plus), comprising of over 52 UN entities, and the Inter-Agency Consultative Group (IACG) on SIDS, which include a range of various relevant UN entities, IGOs and Governments.
Contributions to the Preparatory Process
The General Assembly invited participants (A/C.2/68/L.67) in the meetings of the Preparatory Committee to send written inputs on the objectives and substantive theme of the Conference in advance of the first meeting of the Committee, and to make those inputs available electronically. [Read more]
Partnerships
The overarching theme of the Conference is "The sustainable development of small island developing States through genuine and durable partnerships". The Conference will include six multi-stakeholder partnerships dialogues, which will provide, inter alia, an opportunity for recognizing successful partnerships, launching of new partnerships, as well provide opportunity for focused discussions on key priorities for SIDS. Side Events
Side events sponsored by Governments, UN system and other Inter-governmental Organizations, and Major Groups, will be organized during the UN Conference on SIDS and the meetings of its Preparatory Committee, including inter-sessional meetings.
