The SIDS Beneficiary Delegates will participate in a two-day induction course (23-24 February 2017) organized by the LDCs/SID Trust. The objective of the induction is to complement the e-learning tool on the Human Rights Council and its mechanisms developed by the Secretariat of the Trust Fund. Welcome to Generation 2.0!

Interactive, accessible and gender-aware, the e-Learning tool is designed for government officials from LDCs and SIDS as per the mandate of the Trust Fund. The e-learning Tool is available in English and French. Its overall content provides an introduction to the HRC and its work. It includes information on the international human rights system and law. It focuses on the familiarization with the entry points, rules and modalities for State participation in the regular sessions of the Council.

To access the E-learning tool please refer to the following link:

The e-learning tool has four modules. Each module ends with a short self-assessment. A final assessment covering the four modules leads to a certificate that is issued by the OHCHR.

It takes an average of 3 hours to complete the four modules. This can be undertaken in a series of sessions at the convenience of the participant but will have to be completed within one month from the date of the initial inscription.
